Texas Nursing Scholarship Application

The Texas Nursing Scholarship is limited, allocation-based scholarship offered to Nursing students at UIW through the State of Texas, administered by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB).

In order to qualify for funding, Nursing students must be:

- a Resident of Texas as determined by the Office of Financial Assistance; and

- be registered with Selective Service or be exempt; and

- have financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); and

- be enrolled in a UIW Nursing program on at least a half-time basis; and

- be meeting UIW's Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards; and

- not have attempted more than 15 credit hours beyond the total hours required for the degree in which they are enrolled.
